After reading Garfield's book about the inappropriate use of comic sans, you start to realise how people use a Font without really thinking about the message they are giving across. In this example, the designer has used, what he thinks, a fancy font to separate the two words in the logo.
What he has actually done is chosen a Font that suggests something heavy and fancy, where in fact the connotations of "Cloud" are light and airy. I have suggested an appropriate alternative that gives this message across and also gives the whole design a more modern appeal.
This post begins so well - I thought 'He's got it!' but then you've not really explained why it doesn't work (or what the company is or might be trying to communicate). It's hard to know whether your approach (though more attractive) is appropriate when we don't know what Cloud Wuf is!
